This is personal, lest we forget

… I prayed for acceptance, peace, hope for our troubled world as I created this piece. “This is Personal”

And I say Thank you

I thank those in my own family who have seen things I have never had to.

Remembering those who served to allow us our freedom and quality of life. From my young grandfather as a stretcher bearer in some of the most famous battles (Ypres, Vimy, Sommes, Lens, Passchendaele, Yser)

to the awarded Flying Ace he later became 

- to his son, my father, RCAF Pilot and Doctor

and my mother RCAF Nurse,

to my Canadian Peacekeeper brother who did 3 tours seeing things none of us should so we don't have to.

It is personal…

Remembering those still sacrificing a peaceful life at home to serve and protect…

Realizing that across the world friends and family of people we love are still living in war zones and fear every day.

For all of those still serving, those still suffering, I remember and I pray
